I don't know enough about this stuff personally, but there's lots more info on this over at http://www.med.uc.edu/kranias/phospholamban.html that someone could adapt for this article.


I'm not happy about this sentence: The overall effect of phospholamban is to speed up the rate of muscle relaxation and increase contractility thereby increasing heart rate and stroke volume respectively. Am I missing something or does phospholamban REDUCE muscle relaxation?
