Link Dead[edit]

Website www.phaseone.com/media-pro Goes to a non-existent page. Since I do not know the correct link, I did not want to edit/correct it myself. Seattle Rex (talk) 19:04, 13 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Biased[edit]

This seems quite biased in the initial section. I know this is a stub, but should it be marked as non-neutral also? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.233.51.104 (talk) 03:00, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move[edit]

The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

No consensus to move. Vegaswikian (talk) 06:32, 29 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Phase One Media ProMedia Pro – The article name is misleading, as the product name is only Media Pro. Other Phase One product articles such as Capture One is not named in this way. Mikkelhansen123 (talk) 15:03, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose "Media Pro" is too generic a name. And besides, who says the article name should only and only contain the product name? Fleet Command (talk) 07:14, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well, that's actually a pretty good argument. I got the idea to change the name from looking at the Aperture (software) page. It's not called Apple Aperture - and i would argue that Aperture is even more generic than Media Pro. Media pro (software) could be a compromise then. (I apologize for all the editing!) Mikkelhansen123 (talk) 10:06, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No. First, I do not discuss "what about article X?" kind of discussion. If you wish to register an objection to that article's name, discuss in its own talk page. Second, unlike what you said earlier, "Phase One Media Pro" is a trademarked name (see product homepage and its entry in U.S. Trademark website). That means it is the actual official name and toying with it is something the U.S. laws (which applies to Wikipedia) frowns upon. Regards, Fleet Command (talk) 09:56, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not enough history[edit]

This started as a shareware Mac (OS9) gallery app called just 'iView' and went though multiple major versions and name changes before the history section starts. There should be plenty of RS (old MacWorld reviews etc.) to expand the history section considerably. eg http://www.steves-digicams.com/news/iview-multimedia-36-for-the-mac.html#b http://www.macworld.com/article/1021710/iview.html
