Yo, can somebody add that Headscissors to Russian Legsweep thing he does to signature moves? I would do it myself, but i'm terrible at html and such.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.226.233.224 (talk) 21:36, November 17, 2005 (UTC)

Petey?![edit]

Is Petey's real name Petey? I have found that people just refer to him as Petey and nothing else. Can someone please verify his real name? Thanks. User:MgHoneyBee Mar.22,2006

Real Age[edit]

What is his real age? His MySpace (which has been confirmed by TNA as being his) says he is 25, but people keep changing his birth year to 1982 which would make him 24. What proof is there that he was born in 1982, besides the websites that are using this entry as a source?ImmortalOrigin 13:11, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

He is 40 Anayguy (talk) 15:32, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Currently, two citations are used to support his birth year as 1981. However, only the first of these (OWOW) actually gives a year — 1982 — while the other (Cagematch) merely states his age as 39. Since the birthdate given in OWOW is only a few days away, if Cagematch remains afterwards as 39, then we know that they too are working off of 1982 and we should change the birth year in the infobox accordingly. If, however, Cagematch switches to 40, then we know that they are working off 1981, while OWOW is working off 1982. What then? Find a third source to break the impasse? — SpikeToronto 11:10, 23 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
UPDATE: Cagematch is now showing Williams’s age to be 40, which means they are using a birth year of 1981. Again, OWOW is still using a birth year of 1982, which means 39. First, both cannot continue to be used as citations supporting the birth year used here in the infobox since they do not agree on that datum. Second, how do we determine which is correct? My only suggestion is to look for additional reliable sources. — SpikeToronto 11:15, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Destroyer[edit]

Canadian Destroyer was not taught by D'Amore. Sabin discovered it in a video game (WWF Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game) and showed it to Petey, who in turn used it and named it after Doug Chavelier. He didn't want to use it against Sabin (his next match after learning the move) but once he used it in another match all the indy promoters wanted him to use it.

I got this from what I think was the PWI Annual for 2004. I'm not sure the Mania was the game but I was playing it and Shawn Michaels did a very similiar move. Consider it. User:junior_wonderful Apr.20,2006

  • I had heard The Amazing Red pulled it off before Petey, not in TNA though. This could just be complete rumour though. Graham Laycock 20:11, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • It wasn't Amazing Red, it was either Quiet Storm or Chris Divine (i can't remember off the top of my head), and it happened at the ROH show Honor Invades Boston.PepsiPlunge 11:26, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Petey Williams Released?[edit]

According to Tnawrestling.com He is still on the roster http://www.tnawrestling.com/content/blogsection/5/37/ click there and see he not been released by tna yet. So please change it back. —Preceding unsigned comment added by InfernoAdrenaline (talkcontribs) 22:10, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

He is still a TNA wrestler until his contract is over, he was not fired, so like Christian Cage from october 2008 to december 2008, Williams has to be a TNA wrestler. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.18.229.247 (talk) 14:37, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
