This is a quick fail, I’m afraid.

  • There are numerous maintenance templates: six "citation needed" tags and a "not verified in body" tag.
  • Several subsections are entirely unreferenced, (including "Indigenous peoples", "Siege of Petersburg", "Economy", "Transportation").
  • Per MOS:LEDE, the lead section is too long - "no more than four well-composed paragraphs" is the recommended length.
  • Per MOS:LINKONCE, other articles should only be linked once in the main body text (e.g. Richmond, Norfolk, Elizabeth River, Kentucky, tobacco, Brown & Williamson
  • User:HelpMyUnbelief appears not to have edited the article at all. Regular editors of the article were not consulted before the nomination was made.

The nominator should work to address these issues, with the involvement of regular contributors to the article. A discussion should take place on the article's talk page, before a renomination is made. Best wishes Mertbiol (talk) 05:50, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
