Article recreation[edit]

I'm going to try to head off some possible objections to recreation. Odds are fair that whoever shows up to delete or nominate this article for deletion won't even read its talk page, but at least I can try.

  • Is this recreation of deleted content?
Partly. Pound for pound it is now mostly my work, but I specifically based it on http://gondwanaland.com/tmp/Peter-MacDonald-computer-programmer.html, intentionally keeping what I could, so the article editing history really should be restored. Hopefully a kind admin will oblige.
No. It was deleted due to WP:PROD, which is specifically excluded under G4. (Or, in English, rather, there was no deletion discussion as the policy calls for, so recreation is permitted.) See the article history:
23:15, February 1, 2011 Ron Ritzman (talk | contribs) deleted "Peter MacDonald (computer programmer)" ‎ (Expired PROD, concern was: No in-depth coverage of this person appears to exist. Currently fails WP:GNG)
Yes. Nothing wrong with making pages people want. :-)
  • Won't this just be deleted again?
I hope not. I think I've added enough Wikipedia:Reliable sources to show Wikipedia:Notability. If someone disagrees, we'll discuss it. At worst, that is what WP:AFD is for.
