Olympia or Seattle[edit]

Someone changed the city where Schoening grew up from Olympia to Seattle. I can't yet find any citation to support either. 47.137.183.192 (talk) 21:56, 12 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The official expedition account of the ascent of Hidden Peak (Gasherbrum I) "A Walk in the Sky" by Nicholas Clinch (The Mountaineers, 1982), says Pete Schoening was "from Seattle", but did not specifically say he "grew up" there. 97.73.100.11 (talk) 00:20, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hidden Peak vs. Gasherbrum I[edit]

The first sentence should call the mountain "Hidden Peak (also known as Gasherbrum I), since the official expedition account "A Walk in the Clouds" by Nicholas Clinch, calls it Hidden Peak throughout the book. 97.73.100.11 (talk) 23:57, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
