No. Also please add the tags and discussion headers correctly, so that the discussion can be centralised. I'd also suggest renaming this to KPI, as it was, whhich would make the distinction (Oh, just spend 5 minutes looking at the vast literature on the topic) more obvious. Andy, could you please explain why you believe this should be separate from performance metric? I agree that I've never heard "performance indicator", but I have heard "key performance indicator". I don't see enough material on Wikipedia to support a separate article on KPIs yet, which is why I'm suggesting the merge. 70.250.190.30 (talk) 01:57, 11 October 2010 (UTC)

HI. I think there is some confusion on this...! Performance indicator suggests merging with performance metric, but then performance metric has a note to merge with performance measurement. To me it makes more sense to merge performance indicator with measurement. Why not merge all three? A. Ward (talk) 22:58, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

These 2 or 3 topics should NEVER be merged as it makes no sense. KPI is an industry-wide term with a very specific meaning and is pervasive in the strategy literature as well as practitioner press. To merge this with terms that might sound similar makes no sense. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Angela.hausman (talkcontribs) 21:49, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

I agree that this article is about a specific type of measurement - a KPI. (It is a little confusing that the article is not titled "Key" Performance indicators, but I'm going to add a 'KPI redirects here' tag.) I believe the discussion is more logically whether performance metric should be merged with performance measure. As the idea has been up for discussion about 9 months, I'm going to remove the proposed merge with this article, and restart the discussion on the performance metric and measurement pages.
