unsigned un dated comment[edit]

The lizard lengths are given in one case in meters and in the other case, in feet. Usage should be consistent - perhaps both, with one in parentheses.

Also, the search Perenties does not turn up this article; isn't there a way for a search of the plural also turns up the article. (Granted, it is included as one of the alternatives of the failed search.)

2.5 meters is 8 feet 2.4 inches.

2 meters is 6 feet 6.7 inches.

1.75 meters is 5 feet 9 inches.

10 feet 2 inches is 3 meters.

9 feet 3 inches is 2.8 meters.

etymology[edit]

What's the etymology for the Perentie's name? Bibliomaniac15 22:51, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Probably from one of the Aboriginal languages [1]. --liquidGhoul 00:47, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

photo description[edit]

The photo caption describes a tripoding perentie, but the front legs are on the ground (or rather, not clearly off the ground), so I think the caption requires rework. This is also my first attempt at making any sort of discussion on a wiki page, forgive the banality of the contribution Sakeynes (talk) 05:18, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
