Survivors[edit]

Have the three film stars really survived? If so where? Otherwise we could put them under a separate heading, Film appearances or somesuch/TSRL (talk) 20:36, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps consider the sub-heading "on display" or "display" as "static" is not a universally understood term, especially in regards to aircraft (on display). FWiW, it also gets away from the flyable, restored to display condition, etc. Bzuk (talk) 20:44, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Think the main point is to distinguish under survivors between those that are aircraft ie can fly, and the rest.

Amongst the rest are those that might fly one day because restorers are working on them or are likely to, those that are interesting museum pieces, and those that are interesting pieces, like cockpits etc. Maybe "Flyers" and "Others". then? For me, flyers are important, well presented museum specimens are interesting and the rest are probably best left to "Wrecks and Relics".

I'm not fussed about the sub-heading terminology, but we should I think make the distinction; quite a lot of survivors sections are very confusing.TSRL (talk) 21:29, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of Britain "Proctukas"[edit]

"Highly modified Percival Proctors" were NOT used in the film BoB. Three were built with the intention of being used, but they proved to be marginally airworthy and definitely not up to the kind of diving they'd be required to do for the film. The "Stukas" that did appear in the film were radio-controlled models. The three "Proctukas," as they were popularly called, have long since been scrapped.
