Dreams and aspirations[edit]

Some brainstormed ideas for how to improve the article:

I think this subject is too general to follow the section guideline for diseases at WP:MEDMOS. delldot on a public computer talk 23:00, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As a victim of sexual abuse in early childhood I would like to see a section on treatment options for anal penetration Many of us were left with untreated bleeding and painful memories. Our shame and silence is only broken if hemeroids surface. My surgeon noticed scaring but failed to discuss the I may have been sexually abused. When I recovered and processed my memories I took my report to my new GP who immediately confirmed the scaring was consistant with anal penetration which I had relived the pain of exit every time I passed stools until I recently processed the source of my pain Vctm64 (talk) 14:47, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Less inappropriate first image[edit]

Do we really need an image on this page that's basically a close-up shot of the crotch of a three year old? 68.62.204.186 (talk) 22:15, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have no problem with changing the image, do you have any others in mind? Have you looked on commons? Alternately we could find freely licensed images online, e.g. from biomedcentral. Let me know if you need any help. delldot ∇. 01:35, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Expanding on Effects of Arrows and Bolts[edit]

There's a lack of information about these projectiles in this article, or even which level of velocity they fall under. Mousenight (talk) 18:35, 19 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Abrasion collar article extended (WIP)[edit]

I've knocked the abrasion collar article into much better shape, but I'm not entirely certain that the subject actually needs an article of its own. There's also the question of the not-yet-created bullet wipe article, for which I've created a temporary redirect as a place-holder. It occurs to me that if content is going to be folded into any existing articles, certainly bullet wipe belongs on the gunshot wound page, but abrasion collars are also a phenomenon seen in other projectile wounds, so that may be reason enough to keep it separate rather than duplicating the content on both the GSW and this page. If any kind person wants to head over there and check it out, as well as the lists of completed and still to-do chores regarding the article, I'd be grateful for feedback and any comments or opinions on what to do with them. It's very late here and I need some sleep, so I'll be back later. Thanks!
