Why does Infoplease redirect here?

There's not a word about it on this page, and at Infoplease.com, it says it is own by Who2?, LLC. --Tenebrae (talk) 22:40, 3 November 2015 (UTC)

I was wondering about this as well. There is no Wikipedia page on "Who2?, LLC.", but actually, I think you're a bit mistaken there. When I looked at the main page, all I found at the bottom of the page was "2000–2016 Sandbox Networks, Inc., publishing as Infoplease". I was wondering about your comment so I did a search and found an article on an Egyptian politician on that site, with a notice at the bottom saying it was copyright "Who2?". Perplexed, I clicked around to some random page on an American ballerina which had an outdated copyright notice for The Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia, 6th ed which is apparently owned by Columbia University Press.
I can't find any direct information about any owners of Sandbox Networks. I found a Sandbox Network (note the lack of an "s" at the end") which appears to be some Korean company, but that's about it.
My guess then is that Infoplease is essentially a direct collection of articles and pages from various sources. Looking at the page a bit closer (not sure how I didn't notice this at first), it appears that the site is part of the "Family Education Network", most or all of which appears to be copyright Sandbox Networks which appears to be strongly associated with Pearson in some way, going by this page: http://www.pearsonschool.com/index.cfm?locator=PSZ2Fa
Also noticed the rather prominent name "Funbrain", which I've heard before so did a search and found this: http://www.pearsoned.com/news/practicing-math-skills-turns-into-a-trip-to-the-arcade-with-popular-funbrain-math-games-now-featured-on-mymathuniverse-from-pearson/#.UVmIk7_lf8s
" [...] the new Funbrain[trademark symbol] channel on myMathUniverse, a free site developed to support Pearson’s award-winning middle-grades math program, digits.".
Since Pearson put a trademark symbol over Funbrain and since Funbrain is part of Sandbox Networks, the conclusion is that Sandbox Networks must be owned by Pearson and since Infoplease is published under Sandbox Networks, it must also be owned by Pearson. I still feel like this must be included in the article some how for navigational and clarity purposes at least, but I'm not sure how to go about (and/or don't feel like going about) doing that. Well, since you did all this groundwork, I guess I should roll up my sleeves and pitch in from here. Thanks for doing this. --Tenebrae (talk) 22:11, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
