Darkwing Duck?[edit]

The line "By the 1980s, he was writing for the DC Comics series G.I. Combat and House of Mystery; for Marvel's licensed Disney comic Darkwing Duck; and industrial films and audio-visual presentations." raises several concerns - as best as I can find, using both comics.org and Mile High's listings, Marvel never put out a Darkwing Duck title nor any features. And in any case, they would not have put out a Darkwing Duck title in the 1980s; the character's TV series debuted in 1991, and Marvel didn't gain the Disney license until 1994. Is there some nugget of truth to be rescued in this claim? An unreleased Marvel project? --Nat Gertler (talk) 02:01, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Finding this, he clearly wrote at least one DarkWing script, by 1995... so possible it was for Marvel, but I'm not finding Marvel having published any DarkWing Duck. (Anyone have the January 1997 Comic Book Marketplace that lists his full output?) --Nat Gertler (talk) 17:39, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I think you're right on. The reference came from the fan site Solar Guard, which appears to be in error. The three Darkwing Duck titles at Grand Comics Database are all Disney comics. The title of the script, given at the Bowling Green U. site, doesn't show up in GCD, but that may be because the entries for the Darkwing Duck aren't all filled-in. I'll go ahead and add your change and that new link (which alone is important enough to add!). --Tenebrae (talk) 02:53, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
