Content removal[edit]

Yesterday, I expanded the article. Beagel, I see that in a subsequent edit, you removed the following:

after its move from a public utility to being privately owned in 1999. He was regarded as one of New Zealand's best chief executives and when he resigned in July 2000, this caused the share price of Contact Energy to drop by 3.8% the day his decision was announced

Not sure why. It sounds neutral and was referenced. In fact, the transition from public to private ownership is the integral component to the subsequent mega-payout. Would you care to comment why you removed the above? Schwede66 19:37, 28 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I restored information being the executive at the time of privatization. At the same time, the removed part sounds quite promotional. "was regarded as one of New Zealand's best chief executives " – regarded by who? Also drop of the company share in one day sounds very grammatical but says nothing how the executive had been valued. There may be a lot of reasons for that kind of market reaction and what the price did in the longer run? Beagel (talk) 20:35, 28 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Beagel: Drop in share price – fair enough. Regarded by whom – I got that from one of the sources (I think it was The Press). Schwede66 00:23, 29 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
