User:Circeus removed a fairly substantial amount of material here, saying it was not directly related to Hore-Ruthven himself.

For what it is worth, I think it is helpful for this article to explain that:

his grandfather was created a baron shortly after he was born
his father was a war hero (VC, WWI, etc)
his father was Governor-General of Australia (hence the memorial fountain in Canberra)
he had a younger brother who died young

I also think the remaining details about his wife and children are relevant. -- !! ?? 01:09, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
