I am having students in this course work on this page this week. Usomi (talk) 22:14, 17 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Article length[edit]

The article is excessively long for a relatively unimportant site with badly stratified deposits. For example the environmental sequence from the site has massive gaps due to bad preservation and analyst error

Emphatic disagree. The publication record for the site attests to its importance. If you have scholarly references you'd like to add that discuss things like problems with the environmental sequence, feel free. Ninafundisha (talk) 13:02, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Can you explain why you think this site is important? Citing that published articles exist is a plea to authority fallacy. I will add details on the appalling chrono of the cite as sooon as I can. Aerchasúr (talk) 16:59, 8 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Really? The site is important for all of the reasons listed in all of the articles published. This Wikipedia page does an excellent job of summarizing the literature on the site's importance in the context of the African archaeological record. Very long MSA-Iron Age sequence, oldest human burial in Africa, etc. Add what you want - you have to avoid original research but if there are published critiques you can reference then karibu sana. OK no problem. I will add bits and pieces where I can. Aerchasúr (talk) 12:28, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
