Untitled[edit]

It's not exactly clear what the license is, or how the information relates to other things mentioned in the article. I've tagged it for copyeditting. -- Whpq 15:55, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have tried to do something about it as well, but I have also failed. Either my level of english is not enough or the article needs to be completely rewritten from top to bottom. -- jsimlo(talk|cont) 13:52, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'll rewrite it. Better a stub than this mess. Chris Cunningham 19:20, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

DFSG[edit]

Why is DFSG marked with "?". PHP is shipped with Debian stable. Doesn't this automatically mean that it's DFSG compatible? --Beanluc (talk) 18:40, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My edit explains why the Debian maintainers are reluctant about shipping packages with this license.--84.209.119.158 (talk) 20:23, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It's probably worth including a counterpoint from the PHP team. IIRC, someone said that the wording "PHP software" was used deliberately so it would apply to PHP extensions as well as PHP itself. AJF (talk) 20:28, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
