Otilia (musician)[edit]

Consensus[edit]

Until a consensus is reached on the subject I am allowed to keep translating from tr:Otilia. Chinesemusicfan (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 04:15, 31 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You are 'allowed' to do nothing of the sort. This is a disambiguation page, and it will remain so until it is established that individual concerned meets our notability guidelines - at which point, we will decide how to handle the situation. Meanwhile, I suggest you read Wikipedia:Notability (music)#Criteria for musicians and ensembles, since that is the only relevant guideline - the fact that an article exists on an other-language Wikipedia is of no significance here.
And I suggest that you take a look at the Billboard citation - it currently links to a page saying "Sorry, Couldn't find anything for this artist", which does little to indicate notability... AndyTheGrump (talk)

Discussion not closed[edit]

This discussion isn't closed at all until I have helped decide it is and we all reach a consensus. You guys were rude to Otilia, deleted her over and over, and one person insulted her and called her a no-name, etc. How extremely pathetic and disrespectful misconduct towards her. Why am I to believe that all these other women you listed are more commonly referred to as Otilia when it clearly states in Otilia that Bruma changed her stage name from Bujuu to Otilia. No last name, nothing else, just Otilia. All of the Romanian women you listed here were never referred to by the stage name Otilia and were only commonly referred to by their first and last names, therefore they should be disambiguated somewhere else because Otilia still must be the primary topic in any language and they do not deserve the main space anyways, she does. You harassed me on my talk page after adding sources and trying to help her out. You won't even help add anything at all but keep complaining about sources and then deleting them. Yes, I will create a draft article for Ms. Bruma. But then it is to be sourced and moved to a new space where Otilia is now to be redirected per her more common stage name and being the primary topic in all languages. Draft space and "hijacking"[edit]

NOTE: I can clearly see in her Draft space Draft:Otilia that her draft was speedy deleted all the way back in May 2015, LONG before this newly created disambiguation page was made in mid-July. And it was deleted for "copyright infringement" of a source last.fm which is a music site. That proves to me that the musician Otilia was already the primary topic on English Wikipedia in May with a draft space so people knew about her long before his disambiguation page was put here for the less notable table tennis player, poet and athlete. But for the same reason people just keep deleting her and need to please stop being disruptive. Otilia is the most notable with that name on Wikipdia since May and is really the only person who is referred to as Otilia and not her full/given name. Please understand and allow her to be translated to her space where she belongs, she was here first. Thank you Chinesemusicfan (talk) 09:20, 31 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I was going to offer to help you with the draft for the new article that you stated you were going to create. Since however you seem to have returned to the argumentative behaviour that got you blocked in the first place, you are on your own. AndyTheGrump (talk) 09:31, 31 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
it's your choice not to help her. It's everyone's choice not to add anything about her but just keep deleting everything that shows up whether I add it or someonene else did in the past. And it's your choice to be rude and disrespectful to her, pretending like she doesn't have any coverage when immediately I found 3 independent magazine publications in about 5 minutes of searching. The attitude people have here is obviously not to help people work on drafts or new articles of any kind, So I'm not surprised that you're not willing to help. Speedy deletion tag[edit]

I have removed the speedy deletion tag - the proposed move is not 'uncontroversial'. There have been previous biographies deleted, and the draft has not been submitted for approval. If and when it becomes apparent that the biography meets our notability guidelines, we can decide what to do about redirects. AndyTheGrump (talk) 09:55, 31 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Her notability has been established. It only took a few mins to find all those extra sources, all of which are independent magazine publications. I don't even exactly know how to submit a draft for your approval anyways. Her significance and notability have been asserted and established in the draft space and I am done editing Otilia Bruma within the draft space as promised, now enough sources have been added and the article is ready to be moved somewhere. 10:22, 31 July 2015 (UTC)
