Interesting bio[edit]

Skarsaune is often associated with his work on the Ebionites. However, he makes a persuasive argument that a majority of Jewish-Christians in the 2nd century had a high Christology. According to Skarsaune, they were responsible for the development of scriptural proof texts, based on the Hebrew Bible and Aramaic targums, that were used in vigorous disputes with Rabbinic Judaism during the time prior to the Bar Kochba war (132-135). Sure. By all means if you can find a secondary source (most of sources in these types of bios are peer reviews of existing studies in the literature review section of new papers) giving the above to balance Paget's mention of low Christology of Ebionites please add.
