Orthoformate anion?[edit]

Synthesized?[edit]

There's a new article in the Journal of the ACS that reports synthesizing this molecule. The article title is Methanetriol─Formation of an Impossible Molecule. Can someone who knows some chemistry take a look at this? I don't feel confident enough to edit the article myself.
