Confusion

Peer Review Suggestions

I really like the information within this article, it covers a wide variety of areas and I know that I learned a lot by reading it.

Although a good bit of information, the third paragraph in the lead of this article is very specific and may fit better under the “3D Printing Techniques” or “Printing Materials” section, it is also lacking a citation.

The “Ethical Debate” section provides some very good points, yet argues points of view that are not neutral to wikipedia users.

The flow of the article is great for the most part, but may improve by putting the “Printing Materials” section before the “3D Printing Techniques” section.

Edits for Class Project

Hello all,

Over the next 2 months, my team and I will be updating the sections and content of this page. Specifically, we will be editing the Introduction and History sections. We plan to then combine Techniques and Printing materials into a general printing principles section. We will also add Applications, Legal and Safety, Impact, and Challenges sections. We also plan to update the figures to better explain the new and old sections. More details will be posted as we begin editing over the next week. Edits for Existing Intro and History Sections

Hi Everyone,

Over the last few months my team and I have been working on updating this page. I have been working on the Intro and History sections which currently exist on the page. For the Intro, I plan to replace the existing section with the Intro present on our group sandbox (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Tayloj11/group_sandbox). My goal was to clearly explain the definition of organ printing and how it is done, as well as suggest some industries where it can be used. I will also be replacing the existing image with 2 new images. For the History section, I have added some earlier history that I will merge with some of the information that is present on Thomas Boland. I also plan to remove the last two paragraphs that discuss the use of organ printing in organ transplantation as this will be discussed in our new Applications section later on. Additionally, I will be adding some more recent history in the field. Feel free to check the link above for more specifics.

I plan to move this content from our sandbox as well as the new Applications section to the current page in the next couple days. In the mean time please feel free to reach out with any questions/comments/suggestions!

Tone and content

This page is a bit of a mess. It feels more like an essay or thesis paper written by one person. There is so much editorializing (the 'Organ Donation' section is a good example) and overly-technical content that the page is both pretty biased and inaccessible in its current state. I do not know that much about the topic, so I'm not really going to contribute much, but I think that this page could use an overhaul. Mystagen (talk) 18:04, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
