Lyrics changes[edit]

It seems to me that lyrics changed a little from a musician to another... Look at Bill Monroe's version compared to Cash. The first couplet is the same, but the rest is some different. no, i did not read it, but just heard about it from a friend. anyway, here is what the article allegedly stated re this subject: "Wise did not write it although he claimed for years that he had." my cited site that i sighted tells a slightly different story, does it not?
