Too much promoting and not enough describing[edit]

Too much of this article is talking about the benefits, limitations, effects, and statistics of septic systems but barely anything about the technical aspects like how all of the individual components are installed and connected together, what exact materials are used, detailed diagrams of a complete system, and such. Needs more in-line citations[edit]

Heading titles should be adjusted[edit]

I suggest that the heading titles should be adjusted to follow more the template as described here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(Sanitation)#Articles_on_technologies. For example, the heading "differences" is rather unclear. Sections that are specific to the U.S. could go under a heading of "examples" or under "regulation". Add more references?[edit]

Thanks, User:DMahalko for your edits to this page. However, it is not clear what sources you used? Is it just from the one reference that is mentioned in the reference list? I think using several references and then using in-line citations would be better? If not it should be made really clear that everything comes from that reference, shouldn't it? Disambiguation[edit]

This article should be integrated with "Decentralized wastewater system". They are exactly the same topic, just different terms. "Natural disambiguation. When there is another term (such as Apartment instead of Flat) that is unambiguous, commonly used in English (even without being the most common term), and equally clear, that term is typically the best to use."
