Sources[edit]

Authors, please take a look at some of the other wikipedia articles about songs. There are some very well-written song articles here and they have something in common: they cite sources (more than just providing a link to a video). In an encyclopedia, you can't just say, "many Phil Collins fans still consider the song much more romantic." Which fans? Who said this? When did they say it? Where was it published? An encyclopedia article ought to be about facts rather than opinions. You might think this song is more romantic than other Phil Collins tunes, but unless you've written a book, a music review, a newspaper article, etc. about it, you cannot cite a source ... and you cannot include that information in an encyclopedia article. It's possible to write some wonderful, very informational encyclopedia articles about songs. But do some research first: read some books, google the topic, look up what the music critics said when the song first premiered. You'll acquire a wealth of information -- the story behind the song, how well it charted, how well it sold, and probably some interesting trivia about the tune ... and because you discovered that information through research, you can cite all your sources and write a much better article. For more information on citing your sources (the why, when, and how) please see Wikipedia:Citing sources. Thanks and good luck! 66.17.118.195 13:29, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I desire to comment something about the song. Some years ago I heared the song like jingle of an American Red Cross ad. The ad shows the history of a stretcher and the ad shows all kind of `people that used.Bicko2008 (talk) 04:47, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Bicko2008[reply]

The US release date is wrong: The cited source is supposed to be the release date for the whole album (and it's questionable whether that is even accurate). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.228.149.252 (talk) 01:05, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

'The song has no hook', I would consider the repeated three-note melody based on the title of the song (intro and chorus) as the song's hook. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.188.214.90 (talk) 12:36, 13 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
