Inconsistency?[edit]

This article was a great read. One minor inconsistency is that the professor who collected the plants is called "Christian Smith" in the title, yet "Christen Smith" in the article text. Is this intentional? Ucucha 00:50, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Brown called him "Christian". As far as I can tell, all modern reliable sources call him "Christen". Probably Brown was anglicising a Scandinavian name; but I can't say that because I don't have a source for it. Interestingly, page lxii of the Tuckey's introduction calls him "Chetian Smith"! Good, I think the clarification you inserted makes this clear enough now. Ucucha 01:20, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
