Removals and reasons[edit]

Red-links[edit]

Please add these back when articles are present or anticipated:

  • OtakuBoards, a message boards based around anime/manga and videogames, part of theOtaku network
  • Obryziacum "Pure Gold" Part of mint mark on East Roma "Byzantine" coins
  • OperaBob a.k.a Robert Gibb, noted Canadian investment authority (on DRIPs, or Dividend Reinvestment Plans) and prize-winning ballroom dancer.
  • Buffer (computer science) aka Output buffer
  • Open Box, a term in computer advertisements, next to the "brand new" notice

No-links[edit]

  • "OB" is Office Boy, a comedy in RCTI network in Indonesia

External-only links[edit]

Odense Boldklub should be listed first because the term 'OB' is mainly associated with this club in (northern)Europe. You never pronounce Odense Boldklub, you just say OB. If you don't believe me have look at the club's logo. So please don't undo it Lindberg47 (talk) 01:54, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that this page needs to represent a viewpoint wider than:
  • the Northern European region specifically mentioned
  • sports fans
So, the assertion that Odense Boldklub should be the top of the list is debatable. Regardless, this entry needs to conform to MOS:DAB and has been edited to better fit that guide. Gwguffey (talk) 03:24, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File Extention?[edit]

Lately, I've run across 'OB!' as a file extention from several different sources. They all seem to be .zip files. Anyone know anything about this? CFLeon (talk) 22:33, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Introductory line and wiktionary link[edit]

The phrases "OB may refer to" and "OB stands for" are both listed as acceptable in Wikipedia:Manual of Style (disambiguation pages). "Refers to" is broader and more inclusive of a variety of entries which may come and go on this page. It includes acronyms, initialisms, and also actual name uses such as OB star and OB (cartoon) which may or may not "stand for" something. No reasoning has yet been given for choosing the narrower verbage. As to the wiktionary link, most of the wiktionary entries in the original box were pitiful and contained very little information, therefore I have chosen to de-clutter the box by including only the "OB" listing, which is, after all, the title of this page.
