the #9 in Lennon's life[edit]

do we want the bit about how the #9 figured in Lennon's life? yes, it's a bit trivial. but it is about the recurring #9. i could go either way, but it does add a bit to what would be pretty stumpy. as far as "sources" go, the dates are included in wiki articles; the rest is simple math. what does everyone else think? Dream pop?[edit]

How does a 1980s (according to its own article) genre belong here? Was it put here just as a joke? Radiopathy •talk• 17:45, 5 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Because '#9 Dream' is usually regarded as a precursor to the dream pop movement, a kind of proto-dream pop song if you will. They certainly took a lot of influence from it, the same way as the punks copied The Stooges, MC5, etc. I'm still not sure if it's appropriate for this article though. The difficulty is that, for example, Raw Power is listed as 'proto-punk' because it's a genre that's been given a name retrospectively, like 'garage punk', 'freakbeat', etc. Seeing as I don't know any other proto-dream pop songs other than this, I don't think that's an option. Legacy[edit]

Undoubtedly John Lennon's finest musical composition. I've added a short passage, together with two sources, to highlight the fact that Number 9 Dream is Kate Bush's personal favourite song. Why is this article in US English?[edit]
