Too many churches?[edit]

What is the point in listing so many churches dedicated to St. Nicholas? Most of them seem to be in the Philippines, although this is not noted. Why not list all the churches dedicated to St. Nicholas in other countries? This list needs to be pruned to include only churches dedicated to the saint that are internationally remarkable in some way. Caeruleancentaur (talk) 06:02, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, I got rid of those churches without blue-linked articles. carl bunderson (talk) (contributions) 21:44, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Mistaken image - Perugino painted San Filippo Benizi not Nicola da Tolentino[edit]

This and other wikipedia pages on San Nicola Tolentino show a painting by Perugino that actually depicts San Filippo Benizi NOT Nicola da Tolentino. The two were often mixed up, but, the panel was painted for the Servite church of the SS. Annunziata in Florence (Filippo Benizi was a Servite) and the text inscribed on the book "Servus tuus..." is part of Filippo Benizi's iconography. Aaobrien (talk) 20:23, 19 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
