Birthdate controversy/burial site[edit]

Beechwood cemetery has Birth in 1839. Monument is in Beechwood but Canadian Historian John Robert Colombo claims he is not buried there despite the monument and quotes his birth as 1843 in his book Canadian Literary Landmarks p158 which can be found here http://books.google.ca/books?id=0zbdUkJkm10C&printsec=frontcover&hl=fr#PPA158,M1 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.241.57.64 (talk) 19:55, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting. I just changed the year to 1840, based on the Canadian National Biography source. I won't object to anyone changing it back if that editor determines there's a more accurate source. Apparently Davin spun some fiction about his early life, and that may account for the discrepancies. Reconsideration (talk) 13:44, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
