GA Review[edit]

This review is transcluded from Talk:New Jersey Route 3/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.
  1. Prose: Citations go after punctuation. "The route is a divided highway its entire length" - "for its entire length"? All connectors are possible... perhaps you could clarify what that means. May want to link to carriageways - thats primarily a European term. History - probably should just call it the 1927 New Jersey state highway renumbering. "a spur of Route 4" - comma afterwards. "the road was later returned to Passaic County and it is currently County Route 602." - no it. Don't abbreviate circa. "original routes of the Interstate Highway System," - should be a semicolon, not a comma. What do you mean by "channelized"? Future - don't use "spring" as that assumes the reader is in the northern hemisphere. Junction list - "Western terminus; Westbound..." - second "westbound" should not be capitalized.
  2. Sources - consider combining Google Maps cites. FAC may have a problem with the number of cites referring to the NJDOT diagram. (not that I agree with their point of view, just giving you a warning).
  3. Broad, stable, neutral, images good.

Hold Great article, just needs some cleanup in the prose. You have 7 days to address the concerns above. --Rschen7754 (T C) 23:55, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have gone back and made the suggested changes Dough4872 (talk) 03:12, 1 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Passing. To clarify regarding my remark about the NJDOT diagram, it's that it *could* be termed a primary source and thus governed by WP:PRIMARY. I don't agree with those rules personally, but FAC might have an issue with it. Just a heads up. --Rschen7754 (T C) 06:11, 1 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Old NJ 3, The White Horse Trail[edit]

Original pre-1927 NJ Route 3 was the White Horse Trail. The road is still called White Horse Pike, and became US Route 30. The 1925 Rand McNally auto trail atlas labels the road as ③ and gives the pole marker as a black 3 on a yellow band. - Parsa (talk) 04:11, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is unrelated to the current Route 3. ---Dough4872 19:07, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
