Vote to change "genre" to awesome, to accurately reflect band.

Or, more accurately, living off my father's name - incessantly, without any real talent or effort. Come on - challenge me, with citable sources, if you dare/can/can be bothered/etc.

"received tremendous critical acclaim around the world for their latest original" Oh Wikipedia, you purveyor of comedy gold, thank you, I needed a lift. 76.112.248.214 (talk) 08:27, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Someone please do something with this article. It does not name one single source! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.124.22.245 (talk) 04:42, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge with Gunnar Nelson (musician)[edit]

This page has largely been maintained by WP:COI accounts and contains minimal information that is not also in the band article Melcous (talk) 11:06, 9 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support COI and WP:SPAs. I was thinking about this when I made my recent edits. There really isn't enough referenced content to sustain a BLP. I found things like [1]and [2], which are about the subject. But I found more about the duo or band: [3] [4], [5], [6] and [7]. It also helps with the DAB issue. Proposed merge with Matthew Nelson[edit]

Almost all the information on this page is duplicated on the band's article, and much of it is also duplicated on the clearly WP:COI maintained article about his twin. Propose redirects for the two brothers to the band Melcous (talk) 11:08, 9 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

As there has been no further discussion nor any objections raised in nearly six months, I have gone ahead and redirected both individual articles to this one. Melcous (talk) 09:56, 28 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Completely disagree Matthew and Gunnar Nelson, whilst they may be twins have different musical careers outside of nelson the Band. Gunnar is the founder and creator of Scrap Metal, Matthew is the founder and producer on RED37. They have VERY separate fan bases on facebook and are involved in different creative project individually. They are not on conjoined human. They are 2 separate entities with different careers in music and show business.Lucyconlon (talk) 00:26, 4 May 2019 (UTC)LucyConlon[reply]
    • Interesting take. If we were to strip out the common content between the band articles (and that common between the articles of the two brothers) how much content would remain for the brothers? How much of that would be reliably sourced? Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:37, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    • It would be good to see some sources to support the claim to independent notability. It is also entirely possible be that one of the brothers is notable enough for their own article and the other is not, so I think they need to be treated one at a time. Lucyconlon can you point to some reliable sources that establish independent notability for Matthew? You can see WP:NMUSICIAN for guidelines on what that might be. It would also be good if you could clearly respond to the question about conflict of interest/paid editing. Thanks Melcous (talk) 00:46, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
