Marriage to Ellen Bernstein/Burstyn[edit]

I worked for Neil's parents where they resided in Florida for quite a while in the 90's, while caring for Neil's mother, then eventually his father . Learned a lot about his relationship to Ellen. They did blame her for his death, saying she got him into the Hollywood party scene, with all the drugs and alcohol. Namely LSD the couple was heavily into at the time. Neil's father tells me he changed in a few short years after he met & married Ellen. He admitted his son had problems, but couldn't take the divorce and eventually committed suicide. This was backed up by photos, news clippings, and multiple scrapbooks I was shown of Neil's Hollywood life, his career, marriage to Ellen. His father kept everything. Now all this was hearsay and from the multimedia I read at the time. Not certain of the stories I was told, but I do know Neil's parents were still very angry at Ellen over their sons downfall & death. 68.0.200.225 (talk) 09:39, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
