Merger proposal (February 2020)[edit]

The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section.

I propose to merge NSBM Green University into National School of Business Management. Both articles are about the exact same institution. I think that the content in the NSBM Green University article can easily be incorporated into the National School of Business Management article, with a simple redirect left in place. The result of the move request was: Page moved per WP:COMMONNAME. It seems to be a straightforward request with no opposition to the proposal that came forward. (closed by non-admin page mover) OhKayeSierra (talk) 11:27, 16 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: Moved. The only oppose vote does not address how this would be allowable under WP:NCA, a policy which prohibits acronyms in article titles in most cases. (non-admin closure) (t · c) buidhe 06:55, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

NSBM Green UniversityNational School of Business Management – According to the independent reliable sources, this is the official name of the institute.[1]

Oppose: Both names seem similar in terms of usage. Per web searches:
  • National School of Business Management has more usage overall (74), but less usage in news (14).
  • NSBM Green University has less usage overall (49), but more usage in news (38).
Since wp:official name is not a valid policy for renaming, it can be discounted. Per wp:titlechanges, if there are no good reasons to change the title, then it should not be changed. And there seems to be no good reasons here yet. ~ Ase1estecharge-paritytime 12:58, 9 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
