Controversy[edit]

The controversy section here seems rather... Not.. Controversial. I mean, it kinda is, but if it just says what it does currently, then why can't it be renamed something more specific to the religious conflicts? As it is.. It's a bit of overkill, in my opinion. Also, do you think more information could be added? I know their website is extremely large, it shouldn't be this hard to expand an article. Siddonie (talk) 02:04, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • The controversy is real and reached Congress, where Steve Rothman worked to broker a compromise. The controversy led to several state organizations leaving the National HS competition. The exact title for the section would be an appropriate subject for discussion. More information -- ideally, from external sources -- is always desirable. News Sources for religious discrimination controversy[edit]

Howdy, folks! I am adding a short list of reliable news sources which have been written about this controversy. With these sources I am hoping we can work together to expand and added sources to the section. So, without further ado:

Notice that some of these sources are from the NY Times and FOX News. It seems to be an ongoing issue and has taken up a lot of time and reporting. I will start expanding and sourcing the controversy section. Please help out! Basket of Puppies 23:21, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
