According to Animal Diversity Web, the habitat of this species "is mainly open, sandy savannah", and not "dry deciduous forests" as this article claims.--Carabinieri 13:56, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have done research on this animal and know first-hand that it lives solely in forest. Please check <<Woolaver et al. (2006) “Population status, distribution, and conservation needs of the narrow-striped mongoose Mungotictis decemlineata of Madagascar”. Oryx, 40 (1), 67- 75.>> for reference on habitat preference. I have already spoken with Animal Diversity Web and IUCN Redlist, and they plan on changing their habitat designation for Mungotictis.--Asabato 17:15, 8 March 2007 (EST)

OK, thanks for your help. I justed wanted to make sure that fact was right.-- Carabinieri 22:28, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Negrusti -- that pic is of the wrong species, Galidictis fasciata, or Broad-striped mongoose. Please replace it with my pic of Mungotictis decemlineata. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Asabato (talkcontribs) 21:28, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Size?[edit]

How large is this animal? How heavy?
