Seems that some of these would be ok if formatted differently. Should state what will be found at the link. For example, "PST Festival" could be:

@StaceyEOB: TRPoD is correct; As WP:EL specifies, external links should be things like "official" sites on the subject or media archives about it. Some of the links included are works by Buchanan which could be included in their own section (not as bare links, but URLs with citation-like details). Some of these links, like the KCET URL, could be references. Some, like the WGBH link, don't seem to belong here at all. TRPoD's point about that link is formatting it to make it more descriptive. It can stay in the external link section. It'a a work of Buchanan's so it could serve as a reference better than an external link, in my opinion. Take a look at Pablo Picasso. There's a bunch of URLs included in the references but only a couple in external links. Those that are there are descriptive of what the URL is about. I agree it could be better used as a reference. But I wanted to give her an example of that that link should look like (not just "PST Festival" but * Pacific Standard Time: Nancy Buchanan discusses Hair Transplant (1972))—so that I know, is that still problematic? In this case, it isn't actually a work but audio of her discussing the context in which the work was first created/presented. Anyways, the article has larger problems to be addressed than these external links so probably best to leave it here. Thanks! StaceyEOB (talk) 00:36, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Marilyn Nix: Actually, "patrolled" refers to the new pages patrol. We have Wikipedians checking every new page to ensure it's not patent nonsense or the like.
