Merger with Pashtunistan[edit]

Why are these two separate articles, as they really relate to a common theme. Though, I guess Pakhtunkhwa really relates more to a naming converntion within Pakistan?? May just be easier to incorporate the info into one page, and avoid duplication. Nlsanand (talk) 00:48, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article topic is fundamentally different from Pashtunistan and is too long to be merged and still maintain the integrity of the NWFP/Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa article so I've reworked it slightly and am moving it to Names of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa per WP:BOLD. — AjaxSmack 22:37, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Agree - this article is better as independent. Mar4d (talk) 14:06, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Or rename?[edit]

Yes it relates to a naming convention within Pakistan. If NWFP gets renamed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakhtunkhwa should probably redirect there. (See also Talk:North-West Frontier Province#Requested move). In that case, maybe this article should become Names of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This article could include much of the info on the naming dispute that is in the article now plus a little on the other names mentioned (Khyber, Afghania, Abasin, Nuristan, &c.) — AjaxSmack 04:43, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am moving it per WP:BOLD. — AjaxSmack 22:37, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Complex title raises questions[edit]

I am uncertain about this article. It might be more logical to integrate it into a chapter of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The current title seems overly complex and might hinder its discoverability. Any idea @Saqib? Crosji (talk) 05:51, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sometimes, it's wise to seek out a 3rd opinion so pinging @SheriffIsInTown:Saqib (talk I contribs) 06:35, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
