Offensive stereotypes[edit]

This program is nothing short of offensive stereotypes of several ethnic groups. The text, setting and personalities are rediculous characterizations created by NY types. 96.227.185.154 (talk) 02:16, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious. People from Montreal (where Nadia G. is from) who have posted on blogs discussing this show have repeatedly stated time and time again that she talks in the same manner as all the other first-generation Canadian children of Italian immigrants who live in the Montreal enclave that Nadia Giosia grew up in. She exaggerates the accent just a little bit, but it's authentic to her upbringing. As for the other characters -- they may be exaggerations of their actual beings too, though this is pure speculation. Anyway, the assertion that these are "rediculous [sic] characterizations created by NY types" is false purely because this was a concept created by Nadia G. for her online vlogcasts, which you can see by accessing her YouTube channel (BitchinKitchenOnline). She began her web series some ten years ago and incorporated cooking and the genesis of "Bitchin' Kitchen" a few years before Food Network Canada snapped her and her concept up. This is a fact asserted time and time again in press releases and solidified by the fact that Nadia G. won a prestigious web award in 2009 for her proto-"Bitchin' Kitchen" efforts. Which, if you'd made any effort to research what you're talking about, you'd have found out for yourself. 69.149.105.46 (talk) 22:16, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Award[edit]

I heard she won the award for the most annoying TV chef, can anyone find a good source on this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.156.39.170 (talk) 02:25, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

The page needs to be renamed, as the show is now officially called "Nadia G's Bitchin' Kitchen". [1] Kaos 42 (talk) 05:29, 22 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's my understanding that it's only changed for the American viewing audience and that it's still named "Bitchin' Kitchen" when it airs on Food Network Canada. Though you've got me wondering now if it's also changed in Canada. 69.149.105.46 (talk) 22:16, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well heckfire, Kaos 42, the program title HAS changed for the Canadian market too. [2] So you're right, the page DOES need to be renamed. Thanks for having me look this up because this also provides proof that FN Canada is still airing this show, which goes against what a previous edition of the main article stated. 69.149.105.46 (talk) 22:23, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cast bios[edit]

If anyone wants to clean up the cast bios, feel free. This is my first time at doing this part of a Wiki page... Kaos 42 (talk) 04:09, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
