Untitled[edit]

Hi, thank you for modifying the entry and improving it. I have removed the statement that NOV was also named IGFBP-9. Although NOV, and other CCN family members bear limited sequence homology to IGFBPs, there is no study showing that any CCN proteins actually physically bind to any IGFs at a physiologically reasonable concentration. In addition, there is no indication so far that CCN proteins have any functional relations with IGFs. Based on these reasons, it feels confusing, and so not a good idea, to call CCN proteins as IGFBPs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Laulab (talkcontribs) 22:46, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
