Details[edit]

Sunsetshimmer1 is talking about this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciSJUCWmWGo - which shows a purported confirmation of Equestria Girls Season 3. However, there are two key details about it that say otherwise. First, you'll notice the word "Debunked" in brackets after the video title. Second, if you click to open the video description, you'll see an update stating that the person who "confirmed" the new season actually confused the current batch of shorts - Season 2 - for Season 3 (perhaps thinking Summertime Shorts was the first?). This is confirmed by the tweet linked in the description - https://twitter.com/Chevistian1/status/1138271235224350723/photo/1. So all in all, not very convincing evidence.

Personally, if I were the creator of this video, I'd've deleted it as soon as I realised there was an error and put up a separate video retracting the whole statement. But I guess he doesn't want to completely admit he's wrong - or at least, wants to hold out hope for a new season as long as possible. Understandable, perhaps, but not the right way to do it.

Username jurassicclassic was doing editing on the My Little Pony Equestria Girls web series web page there is no third season of Equestria Girls jurassicclassic must be blocked and I am gonna be a future filmmaker and name my company after Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer and Rainbow Dash calling it “Mane Three Pictures” and I am doing my first short film for the future Sundashglimmer (talk) 00:35, 9 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Last aired[edit]

As this is turning into an edit war: An IP keeps changing the last_aired field in the infobox from June, 23 2020 to present. However, there are currently no episodes airing, nor are any announced. Therefor it should be the date the last episode aired, or am I missing something. @76.167.185.31: Please stopp chaning that without any explanation. It appears that the IP is not willing to listen/refuses to listen. They indicate that the show is ongoing, even though the series is already done as of this moment, with the templates saying otherwise that 2020 was the conclusion for Equestria Girls. The IP is either insistent that it will go on and won't anyone else change it, or the IP is a fan who is in denial that the series is over. On top of that, the IP has not provided a reliable source to show that the series is still ongoing. And already they have broken the 3RR rule. And to acknowledge something he wrote in his edits, the series was made under a program called Flash which has as of the end of 2020, become defunct as no one really uses it anymore. So it would be impossible for it to continue as Generation 5 is made under a completely different engine. HorrorLover555 (talk) 04:59, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Plans for season 3 important enough for lead section[edit]

@Little Dude for Life: You keep adding the cancled plans to create a third season to the lead section. However, in my opinion, this is not important enough to be in the led section and should only be in the production section. After all, the season was never released and is therefore not of great importance for the overall reader. Could you state why you think this is so important that it must be in the lead section? Any input from anyone on how we could find a sollution here would be welcome, as this reverts to an old version, were this is in the lead section, keep happening.
