This Article was design by fundamandalist people it is not explain true nature pls re design right one .Muthupet called as muthupettai in olden days,later due to invasion of isslamic rulers from north the parathava people follow isslam.A big cholas siva temple was placed near northern side of kalkeni theru was destroyed.The statues was founded 1977.now itis in control of collector of nagapattinam .A BUTHA VIHAR was ineastern side of koraiyaru river.the statue is in thanjavoor and madras museium. Muthupet is famous for Muslims conceptuals and other related things. Mostly Muslim peoples occupied within it and also surroundings. Most important glorious moment in september peroid, that is Great Arab shahib Handuri. Nearly 1,00,000 peoples gathering at this moment. This rally starts from Arab shahib masjid, ends with New bus stand. Mostly senior leaders like Shaik dawood oliyullah and some other Muslim Jamath leaders start-up this high-lighted event. About 100 Towns and 1000 villager peoples participated in this rally. this palce fomous for dharga in Jambavanotai in kovilur arul megu bharagathiwarar kovil
