Someone needs to check the details
Someone needs to check the details of the "In 1985 Ripley's closed both museums & moved the collection" line & list citations. I visited Gatlinburg a *lot* through the '70s and '80s, and Ripley's never closed its museums there. The main museum burned down in a huge fire in 1995 that took out the whole block of stores, but has since been rebuilt & is still open.
