early history[edit]

The german Fischer Weltgeschichte, volume 17, on India says that the excavations at Mundigak showed the western extension of the Indus-Valley-Cultures (p.18). Though at the same time closer relations exist to the ancient Iran and perhaps further West. A continued settlement in the Indo-Iranian area from pre-historic times can be assumed due to neolithic findings. It follows from this that Indus-Valley-Cultures and Indo-Iranian cultures are the same, including neolithic and later levels of history. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.115.98.14 (talk) 22:29, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Harappa Culture seeds in Mundigak?[edit]

The "Encyclopaedia of Indian Archaeology", which is cited three times in the article, states in its 70th page:

"There has been a tendency to see in any Chalcolithic or Bronze Age discoveries in Sind and further west the seeds of the Harappa culture with its urbanism--such as those at (...) Mundigak (s. -e. Afganistan) (...) there is very little Harappan at Mundigak (...) ".

My question being, is there enough evidence to claim that "Mundigak is recognized as a large prehistoric town belonging to transitional phase of Harappan development"?--Negrulio (talk) 00:54, 2 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I clarified this matter. Y-barton (talk) 18:30, 23 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
