Much work needed[edit]

As it stands, the article currently needs a ton of work. While Shaykh Zeno is well known in the Muslim world, there isn't a whole lot of biographical information available on him in English and currently the article only has one citation, which is from a blog and hence really not up to par with WP:RS. I think we can tune this up and make it better but a lot needs to be added in the way of sources. MezzoMezzo (talk) 04:04, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is excellent. I love it when people want to help and build rather than delete willy nilly. Thank you ever so much! AWT (talk) 23:20, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's better to build articles up than to tear them down. I think I have a few of his books, I am not sure if any contain any brief biographical information but that may be usable. Maybe check like Arab News or any other English publications in the region for info too. MezzoMezzo (talk) 04:15, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
One thing to keep in mind too, per Wikipedia:Reliable sources and Wikipedia:Verifiability, blogs and forums should generally not be used for links and citations. MezzoMezzo (talk) 04:54, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Under the section titled 'Works' it should be 'How to Understand the Qur'an' instead of 'How to Understand the Qumran' 02:34, 8 December 2015 (UTC)

Unreliable Sources[edit]

This article currently has as it's sources the following:

  • www.ahlalhdeeth.com - This is nothing more than a blog site of the Ahl al-Hadith movement. It is neither academic or reliable and clearly holds a PoV.
  • http://www.bakkah.net/ - This is a Salafi website that is neither academic or reliable. Additionally, it makes no mention of Zeno.
  • http://forums.islamicawakening.com/ - This is a blog site. It is clearly unreliable for an encyclopedia.

As such, I will remove all references to the above.RookTaker (talk) 16:20, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
