Failed "good article" nomination[edit]

This article has failed its Good article nomination. This is how the article, as of June 16, 2021, compares against the six good article criteria:

1. Well written?: The non-history sections are quite basic and not engaging to read. I went ahead and deleted the Accidents/deaths section, as it was a poorly-organized list with horrible writing.
2. Verifiable?: Many paragraphs are missing citations.
3. Broad in coverage?: Much of the human history between its establishment in the 1890s and the 2006 floods is missing, which should include the development of the park features. The fauna section is a basic list with no details on the populations, significance, and relations between species.
4. Neutral point of view?: Some passages read a bit too much like promotional material.
5. Stable?: Pass Pass
6. Images?: Pass Pass

This article is very, very far from being ready for a real run at GAN. I would suggest that the next nomination come from someone who has heavily rewritten and expanded the article.

When these issues are addressed, the article can be renominated. If you feel that this review is in error, feel free to have it reassessed. Thank you for your work so far.— SounderBruce 01:07, 16 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
