The North Star[edit]

The 2015 independent film The North Star takes major liberties with "Big Ben" Jones's life story:

It has him escape from a plantation in Virginia, rather than William Anderson's plantation in York, Maryland.
It changes the year of his escape from 1833 to 1848.

In the press surrounding the film these inaccuracies are repeated over and over again as fact. Unfortunate and unnecessary. == BoringHistoryGuy (talk) 18:32, 23 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
