Location options[edit]

This article used to say Amana was "probably Amanus, or the southern summit of Anti-Libanus, at the base of which are the sources of the Abana River." I don't think Mount Amanus is in the Anti-Lebanon mountains, and the sources I'm reading seem to indicate that these are two distinct options, whereas this earlier text conflated them. I changed the text per my sources, but I don't really know the geography very well, and my sources so far aren't great. I would be glad if someone could confirm or deny my understanding on this. Etymology needs fleshing out[edit]

Re The name Amana means "constant"..., in what language? Are morphemes identifiable? The claim is unhelpful without further information. 47.32.20.133 (talk) 17:18, 3 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
