Montezuma or Motezuma?[edit]

Can someone explain why the spelling of the title has changed? Grove give Montezuma and indeed the rest of this article uses the 'n'. - Kleinzach 22:06, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks to VivaVerdi for the references. Motezuma is evidently correct! - Kleinzach 09:45, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Chronology of this account[edit]

As written, this is a mess. I have edited it considerably, but the issue of the chronology appears.

If the manuscript was found in 2002, what has the TV production of 1992 to do with all this?? I'm leaving it in, but hope that someone can clear this up. Vivaverdi

Later: I removed the reference. Vivaverdi 00:31, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Should we flag this article as accuracy questioned/disputed or whatever? - Kleinzach 01:27, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Looks good now - you did a good job. I also note the Operabarga festival! - Kleinzach 09:55, 2 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's still a bit confusing. The rediscovery of the libretto occasioned Alejo Carpentier's novel about the original premier, Concierto Baroco, and also made possible a pastiche 'premiere' with, as I understand, newly composed recitatives and parodied arias from other Vivaldi operas which was recorded in the early 90's, I think. I had no idea a score had since resurfaced! Sparafucil 04:32, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Premiere account?[edit]

I thought the world premiere of this production was at the De Doelen Centre in Rotterdam in 2005. That is at least what is on the biographical account of singer Marie-Nicole Lemieux who was in the production. It also says that on her bio at the following [1] . What is the truth? This article says different. Nrswanson (talk) 14:22, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The first modern performance was at de Doelen, the first modern staged Performance was at Düsseldorf. Att Rotterdam only the surviving parts of the manuscript were performed, while the Düsseldorf version was reconstructed.--Catrin (talk) 07:18, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
