Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... I am currently gathering information to fill this article. This article is a about a Tier 2 competition in Gaelic Football in Monaghan. The Tier 1 competition is the Monaghan Senior Football Championship. --SportsAficionado (talk) 13:32, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@SportsAficionado: hi! If you're still in process of gathering information on the subject, then perhaps having this article incubate in draftspace would be a better idea.

@SshibumXZ: May we remove the notice now? Regards, SportsAficionado (talk) 15:38, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@SshibumXZ: Apologies, it was a figure of speech. Regards, SportsAficionado (talk) 21:45, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@SportsAficionado:  Done: I have removed the speedy deletion tag. However, the article still has a fair bit of issues, first of all, some of the claims aren't cited inline, second, it needs more third-party references and lastly, it may not be notable if it doesn't satisfy either Wikipedia's notability guidelines for sports or Wikipedia's general notability guidelines, please try to rectify these errors, whenever—and if—you want to, as, I am probably not going to list this one for deletion, as, it'd be terribly unfair to you and the article. Apologies for any trouble caused.

@JamesBWatson: In response to your concern, "No evidence of satisfying Wikipedia's notability guidelines. The only independent source cited does not even mention the Monaghan Intermediate Football Championship". The article literally outlines how the Intermediate Football Championship is run in Monaghan. Please read the source before airing an opinion. SportsAficionado (talk) 22:53, 17 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
