Proposed Deletion[edit]

Holy smoke - speedy delete after the article is up for 1 minute? Seems to me the proposer failed to check the reference provided.

I started the article, and did so because it has hosted the Canadian Open 6 times. Within the scope of Wikiproject Golf, that makes the club sufficiently notable to justify an article. I am in no way affiliated with the club (I wish I was in that tax bracket!!). To address the two tags:

  • the article I wrote does present the club's notability, inasmuch as it lists the six national championships they have hosted.
  • the article is not blatant advertising, as I certainly have no reason to do so, and what I wrote provided a brief overview of the club history, facilities and major championships. It did not provide contact information, other than the club's URL. PKT 13:29, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I further note that the person who proposed the speedy deletion has failed to notify me that s/he did so. PKT 13:32, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Speedy deletion tags have been removed by the same person who put them there. PKT 16:52, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling difference intentional?[edit]

This article says the spelling discrepancy between the city name and the club name is intentional, but there is no citation given to support this, and I couldn't find any. So how do we know it's intentional? NoriMori (ノリモリ) 14:55, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

For one thing, check the club's website, especially this. PKT(alk) 19:52, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
