Wrong name![edit]

Locally it's only known as Sergei Courtyard, after its builder, Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich Romanov. Why "Mission", and what "Saint Sergius of Jerusalem"?! Probably a mistake. The royals killed by the Bolsheviks have been sanctified after 1991, but Grand Duke Sergei was long dead by the time of the 1917-18 revolution. Weird, or just simply wrong. Check out official Russian website: it's called Sergei's Compound in Russian, after the duke. No mission, no saint. See also in enWiki's Russian Compound article (Russian Compound#Buildings): "Sergei Building". Must be amended. We can choose between

  • Sergei's Courtyard, Jerusalem
  • Sergei Courtyard, Jerusalem
  • Sergei Compound, Jerusalem
  • Sergei Building, Jerusalem
  • Sergei [Imperial] Hostel, Jerusalem.

It was only used by royal and other aristocratic or high ranking visitors, unlike the other hostels of the Russian Compound.

N.b.: the other compound associated with Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich is in the Old City and is popularly known by the duke's patronimic, as Alexander Hostel or alike (officially the Alexander Nevsky Church with its wider compound). Arminden (talk) 04:39, 22 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I translated it from the Greek page. In sources, the name is used in the Grand Québec article. --Antondimak (talk) 12:30, 7 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
